Pete Latham is a Swindon-based photographer who wanted a logo to promote his new portrait photography business.
Pete came to me with an existing logo he’d previously commissioned but was disappointed with. He initially wanted to keep to the same style – a design that looked like a handwritten signature. However, when I presented my ideas, Pete was drawn to a more classical style of design which he felt was more suitable for the more exclusive market he was aiming at.
The original brief was also to keep with the original ‘cool’ palette of grey, slate blue and cream. As the project progressed, though, I found that warmer colours were working better, and we ended up agreeing on a rich brown, gold and cream palette.
